This old pair of akor earrings is made of tribal silver inlaid with turquoise in varying tones, from the bright blue inlaid into one of the lotus bud symbols at the bottom to the green at the top of that same earring. These earrings are old enough that the turquoise in some cases has been discolored, the spaces between stones dark and almost grimy looking. These are likely at least 70 years old and can be much older, as this style of earring would have been worn by women in the Lhasa region of Tibet, up until about the mid-20th century. They were generally hung at either side of the face hiding both ears and facing forwards to show their inset stones. These earrings are heavy, although not as heavy as antique sterling silver versions, which might weigh up to two or three times more per ear Traditional Turquoise Drop Earrings, Traditional Green Multi-stone Earrings, Silver Spiritual Earrings For Rituals, Traditional Turquoise Sterling Silver Earrings, Traditional Silver Earrings With Inlay, Traditional Turquoise Jewelry For Ceremonial Occasions, Traditional Blue Pendant Earrings, Traditional Silver Multi-stone Earrings, Lotus Bud
