Arnold's Bakery, SW. Corner Saginaw & 5th Street, Bay City, Michigan ~ 1909
The first bakery of Bay City was at Center Avenue and Water Street. The above picture shows the second location. The bakery then relocated to 815 Saginaw Street. Arnold's horse and wagon with employees, promoting 'Ma-Ma Bread' they express shipped statewide, are shown, as well as, the window of 819 Saginaw Street, the'Log Cabin' and 'Senate Cafe'.
Essexville School (Later Hughes School), Essex and Lang Streets, Essexville, Michigan
Opened abt. 1870. - Essex & Langstaff Streets. - Photo 1924. This is the second school building, the original building was destroyed by fire in 1879. This building was replaced in 1927, when it was called Essexville School, then it was renamed during the 1950s to Hughes.
Masonic Temple (looking NE) located in downtown Bay City is an impressive city taking up the majority of an entire city block.
