I'm using this frame and wooden box that I got from Dollar Tree. I removed the glass, set that aside and pull out those little pins from the back of the frame. I paint both the frame and the box with a vintage white acrylic paint by Folkart. And on this box on the inside of it on the back I'm not painting. I also took these dowel caps I got from Hobby Lobby and covered those in the same color. Next, I trace out the box onto some scrapbook paper that I got from Amazon and I do end up having to trim that up just a little to make sure it fits on the inside. After I have that trimmed, I add a layer of Mod Podge to the inside of that box and place a Mod Podge around the edge of the back of the scrapbook paper that I'm using to make sure that it'll be fully adhered. Smooth it out with my hands and then use my drying tool to make sure that's fully dry and adhered and then do an outer layer of Mod Podge drying that completely as well. Next I take these string of fairy lights I get from Amazon and I'm just going along the inside of the box and kind of bending that wire to get the shape that I need for them to be placed in there. I don't do that for the entire strand. I leave some of it long so I can take it and wrap it around that shape and keep it into place. And then I leave just a little bit hanging of the string with that battery pack so I can glue that on the outside of the box. I place it around the inside border. And then I'm hot gluing the battery pack which will be on the top of the box a little bit further back because the front will be glued down. I then take this microfiber cloth that I got from Dollar Tree as well. Fold it and hot glue it and then place it what will be the bottom of the box. And I just add a couple dots of hot glue on the top corners of the lights just to keep those into place. I then take this tree that I got from Dollar Tree. It was a larger tree and I just cut the top of it off so it will fit inside the box. I then cut the back of it so it's nice and flat so it'll fit inside without sticking outside from the rim of the box. And then take this figurine I got from Walmart. And hot glue that inside there as well. Next I flip the frame over and on that little lip I am adding some hot glue and then place them back in the glass. I then add hot glue around the border of the glass and place down the box so the figure and tree can be seen through the glass. I then add the dowel caps with some hot glue onto the bottom of the box. And that is it for project. Thank you so much for watching.
