VITRUVIAN MAN

L'Uomo Vitruviano is a drawing by Leonardo da Vinci. Notes based on the work of the Roman architect, Vitruvius, the drawing depicts a man in 2 superimposed positions, inscribed in a circle and square. The image and text described by Vitruvius are called Proportions of Man, based on the correlations of ideal human proportions with geometry and being the principal source of proportion among classical orders of architecture. The drawing is kept in the Gallerie dell'Accademia, in Venice, Italy.
