WOMEN SWIM: LOOM, S/S 17 [FORECAST > STORY]

As the sun looms in the clouds, this story weaves together the beauty of an unexplored coast; reclaiming washed up remnants for a new purpose. She ties on a handmade gauze and macramé swimsuit, and covers up in her favorite yarn dyed caftan. Stepping onto the beach to comb for shoreline treasures, she collects drifted pieces of glass, shells, parched palms, netting and furled boat sails. She salvages the salt and sun stripped findings, and pairs them with raw materials to wearable works of art.
