JOXAL is trotse hoofdleverancier in Nederland van Designers Guild: For Autumn Winter 2018 we draw inspiration from a remarkable woman, the nineteenth century explorer Isabella Bird who travelled the globe from China and Japan to India and Persia. And so, this season’s designs are imbued with a global and glamorous sophistication, inspired by mementos, writings and photographs from Isabella’s travels. The collections span a variety of styles: from the vividly coloured and distinctly rich, to cool and elegant or graphic and tailored atmospheres. Textiles are rendered in an unrivalled use of inky watercolour and in elegant and sumptuous textures of velvet, linen and cotton. Plus intricate fretwork stamps, inspired graphic pattern and this season’s geometric, the hexagon. All exquisitely composed in a wondrous colour palette of amethyst and burnished gold plus a new incarnation of saffron and scarlet, rose and ochre alongside moss, celadon, linen, silver and flannel grey tones. Wallpapers include smaller scale metallic textures, iconic and sophisticated graphic designs, stunning botanicals and inky florals, as well as sweeping and immersive panels of hand painted foliage and flowers.
