Devils After Dark: Obey Me! Zine
Wanna take a peek?
Welcome to the Show

We are an unofficial, non-profit, digital fanzine centering around darker themes for the mobile game Obey Me! Shall We Date. This zine is being created to indulge in and explore various adult themes including violent and kink-related content. We acknowledge the Avatars of Sin are sinful, indulge in unsavory acts and commit crimes. We aim to satiate the thirst of the fandom seeking more of this type of content. Please stay tuned. We think you'll enjoy the entertainment ;)

Admission Requirements

This zine is NSFW and will not be open to minors either as contributors or buyers. You must be 18 years of age or older to participate as a contributor, and you must be 18 years of age or older to buy our zine. In addition, this zine will be digital-only.

A Show Unlike Any You've Seen Before

As a non-profit zine, all proceeds for this zine will go to charity. The charity the Mod team has chosen is The Trevor Project.

What is The Trevor Project?

The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and mental health organization for LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning) young people. The organization works to save young lives by providing support through free and confidential suicide prevention and crisis intervention programs on platforms where young people spend their time: a 24/7 phone lifeline, chat, text and soon-to-come integrations with social media platforms. The organization also runs TrevorSpace, the world’s largest safe space social networking site for LGBTQ youth, and operates innovative education, research, and advocacy programs.

Why The Trevor Project?

A majority of youth choose to contact The Trevor Project rather than other suicide prevention providers because the organization is LGBTQ affirming or a trusted provider of crisis services. 90% of young people who reach out to Trevor experience de-escalation from suicidal thoughts. LGBTQ youth who report having at least one accepting adult were 40% less likely to report a suicide attempt in the past year. The Trevor Project aims to always be there for LGBTQ youth in crisis with a clear message: they should be proud of who they are and that they are not alone. The Devils After Dark Mod team chose this charity in part because they have an A grade on charitywatch and also because the mod team believes in supporting LGBTQ youth. Creating safe spaces for people to express themselves is an issue near and dear to our hearts. So we've chosen The Trevor Project to reflect that message.

How Will You Take Donations?

Once the zine is available for pre-order, donations will be made directly to The Trevor Project through the zine’s fundraiser page. The mod team will not act as a pass-through or ever handle any money. Your donation will go directly to The Trevor Project in full. We will have a system in place in which we will encourage patrons to make their donation anonymously. Instructions on this process will be made available when the pre-orders open. We are committed to transparency and to the safety of our contributors and patrons, both.

What if I want a refund?

Due to the fact that the mod team will not be handling any money at all, there will unfortunately be absolutely no refunds under any circumstances. We apologize in advance if this causes any inconvenience. We are sensitive to issues that other zines inside and outside the OM fandom have had in the past. It is due to those issues and valid concerns that we have decided to take the approach we have. Since money is not passing through the mods but rather being gifted directly to The Trevor Project, we have no way to honor any requests for refunds.

Show Schedule

Our current timeline is as follows:

Box Office Information

What is the purpose of this zine?

The purpose of our zine is to indulge in the darker themes that go hand in hand with a game about demons. As alluded to greatly in the initial release of the game and Season 1, the Obey Me! boys are demons after all. They're avatars of sin who have indulged and participated in unsavory, sinful, sometimes criminal acts.We wanted to create a zine that emulates those darker themes while respecting not everyone is comfortable with the same levels of "darkness". That is why the zine will be broken up into sections so patrons may exclude topics that make them uncomfortable if they so choose.

What do you mean by "darker" themes?

This zine will focus on multiple different scenarios. Not all of them need to be sexual, but they will all fall in line under NSFW (Not Safe for Work):
Consent (Noncon/Dubcon)
Intoxication (Drug/Alcohol/Aphrodisac use)
Torture (Gore/Yandere)
Demoncest
Kink

Is this a proship zine?

No, it’s not a proship zine. We recognize that there are creators and viewers who are not comfortable with the proship label due to a variety of reasons, who still believe that creators should not be harassed over fictional ships and content. We do not wish to place the label on these individuals. The purpose of this zine is so creators can participate without fear that they might be asked to leave because of fictional content they create or enjoy, either currently and in the past.We also recognize that there are some themes that individuals are not comfortable with and others that they are fine with. We are discussing options that would allow those interested in the zine to opt out of topics they are uncomfortable with. More information will be released at a later date.

Do you have to submit demoncest-related content?

Nope! Like we mentioned earlier, this zine was made so everyone feels welcomed. Your submissions don’t have to be demoncest-based, but we won’t ban demoncest content creators or consumers simply for having engaged with such content in the past.

Will you be accepting submissions involving Luke?

We will not be accepting submissions involving Luke. While this is a judgement free zine, we want to keep in mind that a lot of people won’t be comfortable having that kind of content on their person.

How will you handle harassment?

Keeping contributors and patrons safe is our number one priority. For contributors, we are allowing and encouraging pseudonyms/pen names. For patrons, we have a system in place that will allow you to donate to The Trevor Project anonymously and still receive your zine with your chosen sections.Although we do not want to exclude anyone from being able to contribute and interact with the project, we have a zero tolerance policy regarding harassment. As such, we will block those who engage in harassing our mod team or contributors.

What type of kinks are considered inclusive of the theme of the zine?

We would like more obscure, risqué, raunchier kinks to be included. Examples of kinks we would love to see are: somnophilia, teratophilia, water sports, BDSM, etc. This list is not exhaustive but it is strictly for consensual situations. Anything that could be better categorized as dubcon, we would prefer to see in that category instead of the kinks category. For example, if the contributor is comfortable with/portrays their somnophilia situation without explicit consent, we will include that under the dubcon category. But if the contributor is uncomfortable with that label and wants it to be perceived/portrayed as strictly consensual, then this new category will accommodate that.We would prefer not to have this category contain pieces which only portray “tamer” kinks. For example, a fic that only contains spanking, hair-pulling and blow jobs is not in line with the “dark content” vision for our zine. Nor is an art piece in which the only kinks portrayed are lingerie and sex toys.We understand the world of kinks is a vast one. We hope this explanation helps but our DMs are open if you have questions about whether or not a specific situation/idea falls in line with our vision. Keep in mind, we expect contributors to present (3) pitches each and encourage you not to get your heart set on a single scenario.

What are the requirements of being a mod or contributor?

No one under the age of 18 would be allowed to participate in this zine as a mod or a contributor, considering the nature of the zine.

Can I use my native language or my culture in my piece?

We would absolutely love for contributors to feel comfortable incorporating their own culture in their pieces! As far as language goes, we have to be cognizant that patrons who will be purchasing the zine have a reasonable expectation to understand everything they are buying. For this reason, we will welcome art pieces which have a non-English language with an English translation made available by the artist. However, due to zine layout issues, we will not be able to accept full fanfics in anything other than English. You are welcome to have single spoken sentences or phrases like pet names in another language in your fanfic, but please include a translation for them that we can include in footnotes. Please have the bulk of your fanfic in English. Thank you for your understanding.
