Gandhara and its Valley Swat were located in nw India. In origin Indian Kingdom, later Greco - Baktrian and Indo - Greek Kingdoms, in turn of 1st ct BC to 1st ct AD was there found Kushan's Kingdom. During this period the Buddhistic sclupture flourished here because of creativity of numerous Greek sculptors carving stone image of Buddha depicting him by the Greek manner as human, like they depicted Greek gods, not only by Buddha's symbols (elephant, wheel, the tree of life) till 3rd ct BC.
