The Gate of Xerxes or the Gate of All Nations in Persepolis. It was built during the reign of King Xerxes I (486-465 BC). Alexander the Great destroyed Persepolis in 330BC, turning it into "the place of the forty columns" in revenge against the man who had sacked Athens.
