Lyndsey Roberts | Ceramic Arts on Instagram: "The final part of making an oil lamp luminary is carving. I start by laying down a grid, then I block out the initial shape of what I want to carve. Then I go back in and clean up the shapes and put in the detail. I've found that water color pens work best for this because the brush is soft but pointed so I get the detail I want without digging into the clay. Next I use an exacto blade to carve out the shapes, making sure to leave the clay in place u Hand Built Pottery Sculptures & Statues, Carving Clay, Clay Carving, Craft Sculpture, Boho Chic Home Decor, Coil Pottery, Art Coquillage, Ceramic Lantern, Boho Chic Home
