Abstract

This paper presents a design and development of feature-based spatial-temporal data model with integrated spatial and temporal elements and whole spatial-temporal intension (FBSDTM) for dynamic monitoring of landuse. Firstly, fundamental theoretical framework of the feature-based spatial-temporal data model and data structure is developed based on the hyper-graph theory. Secondly, a spatial-temporal database based on the developed FBSTDM is designed. Thirdly, an application of landuse monitoring which employs an integrated technology of GPS, RS and GIS is introduced. The paper is structured into four major sections. The concept model selection features and spatially temporally assigning values, Date Base design and case study.
