Abstract
WE reported previously1,2 the detection of lines due to circumstellar CO, C2H2 and HCN in the infrared spectrum of the cool carbon-rich object IRC + 10°216. In this letter we announce the further detection of lines due to circumstellar CH4 in 3.3-µm spectra of this source.
