Ashwin Ramaswami is an American lawyer and politician.[1][2] Ramaswami is a candidate for the 48th district in the 2024 Georgia State Senate election, running against incumbent state senator Shawn Still.[3]

Early life
Ramaswami was born to a South Indian Tamil family and raised in Johns Creek, a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia.[4] He attended Stanford University, graduating in 2021 with a degree in computer science.[5] He later attended Georgetown University, graduating with a law degree.[6] He previously worked at the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency as an IT specialist.[7]
Electoral positions
Ramaswami is a member of the Democratic Party. He has advocated for increasing teacher pay and healthcare funding.
