History
Cxense was founded in 2010. The main purpose was to develop technology that can understand the full context of any online and mobile activity, and then use this capability to deliver context-aware applications that improve the user experience and efficiency of online web sites.
Products
The Cxense solutions are delivered in a software as a service (SaaS) model. Cxense uses audience data and advanced real time analytics to create hyper-relevant content recommendations, targeted advertising using the Cxense DMP and ad platform, and predictive search for publishers and businesses online.

Customers include AEON Group, Aller Media, Alma Media, Amedia, Archant, A. H. Belo Corporation, Bonnier, El Comercio, The Economist, Egmont, Eniro, Globo, Local World, Morris Communications, MTG, Naspers, Nippon Television, Polaris Media, Rakuten, Grupo RBS, Ringier, Schibsted, Summit Media, and VOYAGE GROUP.[citation needed]
Cxense products are used by online media and newspapers, e-commerce directories, and banks and enterprise companies. Cxense conducts joint R&D with universities such as the University of Oslo (UiO), and the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) to develop new algorithms, and is supported by Innovation Norway, the Norwegian Government organization promoting industrial development.
