Edward Anhalt was born in Providence, Rhode Island in 1946 to Jack and Sadye Anhalt (nee Moskol). He grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he attended Washington High School, and later graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin <ref>[[wisc.edu]].</ref>
