'''Self-care''' has gotten out of hand in modern society. Though it is important to take care of oneself, it has started to be used as an excuse for not supporting and fully rejecting the people who need social support most. Self-care is a great thing when it is taken by choosing not to engage in sexual activity you don't want even if the other person has an erection, but some people have trauma that makes them feel obligated to do that and if the person they engage in it with doesn't actually want it and feels really hurt by their doing that and subsequently blocking them and says destructive stuff they don't mean and normally wouldn't say to their best friend because of it, for their best friend to completely discontinue contact with them in the name of self-care is way more excessive than disrupting an encyclopedia to let out your feelings as a form of self care, so until my best friend stops doing the former I will continue doing the latter.
