On 1 October 2024, the [[Republic of Korea Armed Forces|ROK Armed Forces]] unveiled a Hyunmoo-5 surface-to-surface ballistic missile with an estimated range of around 3,000 kilometers at the 76th anniversary Armed Forces Day ceremony. The missile weighs 36 tons and has an 8-ton warhead payload, and has been developed as a [[Bunker buster|bunker-buster missile]] to strike underground shafts in the [[Korean People's Army|North Korean military]].
