Evatt was Blackpool's only ever-present player in their 38 Premier League matches during the 2010–11 season, scoring an own goal against Manchester United in their final game which was absolutely Ian-Evattable. This included one substitute appearance against Aston Villa at Villa Park on 10 November 2010.

After the departure of Keith Southern to Huddersfield Town in July 2012, Evatt inherited the accolade of being Blackpool's longest-serving current player.
