Light Rail Transit Authority: Difference between revisions

The [[Manila Light Rail Transit System Line 2|Line 2]] East Extension Project is a 4-km extension project from the present [[Santolan station (Line 2)|Santolan station]] in [[Marikina]] up to [[Masinag station]] in [[Antipolo]], [[Rizal]] which will add (2) additional stations from the present 11 stations: the [[Emerald station|Emerald]] & [[Masinag station|Masinag]] Stations. The [[Department of Transportation (Philippines)|Department of Transportation]] and Light Rail Transit Authority awarded the Package 1 (Construction of Viaduct) and Package 2 (Construction of the two stations) to D.M.C.I. Consunji, Inc. The project was approved by the [[National Economic and Development Authority]] in 2012 and construction began in 2015. Actual construction is ongoing as of January 2017 and expected to be operational by July 6, 2021.
