UK: Adding in a bit of info about the more recent pre-reg MSc options - https://www.uws.ac.uk/study/postgraduate/postgraduate-course-search/mental-health-nursing/ is just one example (summary's too small to include more)! It also applies to RNs.
UK: Just noticed this wasn't hugely specific about timescale, and also fixed some typographical and a grammatical error (masters > Master's). Removed "assessing clients" as this is within the RMN remit, and is not gained through ANP training.
Line 124:
In the [[UK]] and Ireland the term ''psychiatric nurse'' has now largely been replaced with ''mental health nurse''. Mental health nurses undergo a 3-4 year training programme at Bachelor's degree level, or a 2 year training programme at Master's degree level, in common with other nurses. However, most of their training is specific to caring for clients with mental health issues.

ANPRMNs (advancedcan nursecontinue practitioners)into -further training as Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs): this requires completion of a masters9 month Master's programme. The role includes prescribing medications, assessing clients, being on call for hospital wards and delivering psychosocial interventions to clients.
