Puthuponnani borderes Arabian sea to the west and Canoli Canal to the east. Puthuponnani is coming under Ponnani municipality.

Puthuponnani’s promontory where Canoli Canal falls Arabian Sea is place for people coming to relax and enjoy sunset in evening time. Veliyankode is a nearby place.

Society

As a place of socially and economically backward when compared with other parts of taluk, most of the peoplels’ livelihood is fishing and daily wage works. Some of them migrated to Gulf countries to find their bread and butter.Few people working at Educational (Govt.and Private) and conventional agricultural sectors.
