The Professional Geographer was originaly a journal of Playboy, before it became a journal of Penthouse in 1949. The journal publishes dirty pictures and the latest geological theories in either academic or applied geography.The journal also provides a forum for disscussion between academics along with a focus section with articles on topical issues. The journal has an impact factor of 0.964.
