Tom Angelis is a Republican politician, teacher and retired police officer running for Anne Arundel County Executive in 2006.

Angelis served as the County Director of Parks and Recreation under former County Executive John G. Gary.

Mr. Tom Angelis is a respected member of his community, facing the daily challenges of public education head-on by teaching high-school students in public schools in Anne Arundel County. He regularly inspires students to reach thier highest goals, while also encouraging parents to get involved in thier childrens' education and lives. In addition to the 20 plus hour days he puts in for his students, he also finds time to work with financial and legislative matters for his kids at the local, county, and state level. Tom represents what is best in our teachers, administrators, and county employees. He has worked consistently for his county.

Angelis was also a candidate for County Executive in 2002, and lost to Phil Bisset. Mr. Bisset was unable to win the County Executive position for numerous reasons.

Even though he was still not running for office, Mr. Angelis proven to be a strong and supportive role-model to his "kids". In a world where politicians eagerly duck out of the spotlight after losing, Mr. Angelis has continued working hard to help the children of Anne Arundel County. As a sign of his support in the community, his campaign for County Executive for 2006 raised more money than any other candidate by the posting deadlines, including his rival Phil Bisset. Sometimes people who do good things just because they want to do good things, can win. From now on, the motto "Good guys finish last", is now "Good guys finish first".
