Washington is a village in Washington County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 126 at the 2000 census.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.4 km² (0.2 mi²), all land.

Demographics

As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there were 126 people, 49 households, and 39 families residing in the village. The population density was 286.2/km² (749.8/mi²). There were 51 housing units at an average density of 115.8/km² (303.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the village was 99.21% White, and 0.79% from two or more races.

There were 49 households out of which 30.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 71.4% were married couples living together, 8.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.4% were non-families. 16.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 6.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.57 and the average family size was 2.90.

In the village the population was spread out with 23.8% under the age of 18, 5.6% from 18 to 24, 27.0% from 25 to 44, 23.8% from 45 to 64, and 19.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 110.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.9 males.

The median income for a household in the village was $50,000, and the median income for a family was $55,000. Males had a median income of $38,125 versus $28,125 for females. The per capita income for the village was $19,784. None of the population and none of the families were below the poverty line.
