DescriptionPhoto of The Easterhouse Mosaic brochure..jpg
English: Photo of brochure detailing The Easterhouse Mosaic which was created in the early 1980s by the local community and artists. Co-ordinated through The Easterhouse Festival Society, it was sited within the housing scheme / estate (one of Glasgow's most socially deprived areas) and the brochure states that it would "vastly improve the physical environment as well as acting as a critique upon the social system that (has) created these conditions." The mosaic took over three years to design, produce and instal. It no longer exists in situ, though rumour has it that chunks of it have been salvaged and are in sympathetic hands.
