Julián Andrés Quiñones Quiñones (born 24 March 1997) is a professional footballer who plays as a forward or winger for Saudi Pro League club Al Qadsiah. Born in Colombia, he represents the Mexico national team.[3]

Club career
editTigres UANL
editQuiñones joined Tigres UANL under-20 squad. He was the top goal scorer in the Apertura 2015 season. In 2016, he was loaned out to Ascenso MX side Venados.
Loan to Lobos BUAP
editQuiñones joined recently promoted side Lobos BUAP on loan for the 2017 Apertura championship, where he would become the third top goal scorer of the season with nine goals. In the 2018 Clausura championship, Quiñones would once again be the top goal scorer for Lobos, scoring eight goals.
Atlas
editOn 16 June 2021, Quiñones joined Atlas on a one-year loan.[4] On 7 January 2022, the move became permanent after Atlas acquired the player.[5]
América
editOn 3 July 2023, Club América reached an agreement with Atlas to sign Quiñones.[6]
Al Qadsiah
editOn 20 June 2024, Quiñones joined Saudi Arabian club Al Qadsiah on a four-year contract.[7][8]
International career
editColombia
editQuiñones previously represented Colombia at the 2017 South American U-20 Championship and later at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games. In May 2023, Quiñones turned down the opportunity to represent the Colombia national team.[9][10]
Mexico
editOn 3 September 2023, Mexico national team manager Jaime Lozano invited Quiñones to a training session. The player had previously shown interest in representing Mexico.[11] On 11 October, Quiñones completed his naturalization process and became a Mexican citizen.[12] On 9 November, he received his first call-up to the Mexico national team.[13] Quiñones made his debut in a CONCACAF Nations League match against Honduras on 17 November.[14] He scored his first goal on 21 March 2024 in a semi-final match of the CONCACAF Nations League against Panama, scoring the 2nd goal of the game in the 43rd minute. Mexico went on to win the match 3-0.
