Kate & Mim-Mim is an animated children's television series created by husband-and-wife duo, Scott and Julie Stewart,[3] the series aired on Knowledge Kids on 4 August 2014 (2014-08-04) to 23 March 2018 (2018-03-23), it was produced by Nerd Corps Entertainment[2] in the first season and later by DHX Media in the second season with FremantleMedia Kids & Family.

The series focuses on the friendship and adventures of a little girl named Kate and her favorite toy, a plush bunny named Mim-Mim who go on daring adventures in the fictional world of Mimiloo.[4]

  • Kate (voiced by Maryke Hendrikse in North America and Jessica Hann in the UK) – she is a 5-year-old protagonist girl who wears a pink shirt, a purple sweater underneath, blue-violet pants and white shoes. She is best friends with a stuffed bunny named Mim-Mim.
  • Mim-Mim (voiced by Lee Tockar in North America and by Rob Foster in the UK) – he is a purple plush bunny with a pair of aviator goggles around his head, is Kate's best friend.
  • Valerie (voiced by Nicole Oliver in North America and Joanna Ruiz in the UK) – she is Kate's mother who wears a light blue shirt, blue pants and black heels.
  • Marco (voiced by David Godfrey in North America and Charlie Ryan in the UK) – he is Kate's father who wears a white shirt with blue sleeves, blue pants and black sneakers.
  • Boomer (voiced by Maryke Hendrikse in North America and Joanna Ruiz in the UK) – he is a blue creature and Lily's younger brother with a smaller rooster-like comb on his head with little legs and blue eyes. He loves making trouble with Tack's gadgets and sometimes like making a mess and Lily protect him.
  • Lily (voiced by Tabitha St. Germain in North America and Jess Robinson in the UK) – she is a pink creature and Boomer's older sister with a rooster-like comb on her head and frills around her waste like a makeshift dress and blue eyes. She loves flowers and cooking as she takes care of Boomer.
  • Gobble (voiced by Brian Drummond in North America and Terrence Mann in the UK) – he is a giant brown groundhog with brown eyes, a pink nose and a light brown belly. He loves his garden, planting seeds and sometimes helping others.
  • Tack (voiced by Matt Hill in North America and Charlie Ryan in the UK) – he is an orange-yellow tree frog with orange with red tips on his ears and feet, a yellow belly, wears purple goggles with blue frames, has a blotch on his back and a stubby tail the same color. He loves inventing things.

Kate & Mim-Mim airs on Knowledge Network and BBC Kids in Canada on 4 August 2014 (2014-08-04). The first episode premiered on Disney Jr. in the United States on 19 December 2014 (2014-12-19) until 2 July 2017 (2017-07-02) when Disney Jr. lost the rights to air the series.[5]

The series also premiered in the United Kingdom on CBeebies on 30 October 2016 (2016-10-30).[6]

On 23 March 2015 (2015-03-23), Funny Bunny Friend was released in DVD by FremantleMedia Home Entertainment in the United Kingdom, a year prior to its TV premiere. The episodes listed on "Rip Roaring Race", "The Need for Seed", "Colour Me Happy", "Mega Mim", "Tail Tale", "Mim-Mim's Moon Mishap", "Balloon Buddies", and "A Case of the Giggles".[7]

In 2015 (2015), Kate & Mim-Mim was nominated for a Leo Award for Best Overall Sound in an Animation Program or Series (for the episode titled "Bunch o' Boomers").[8]
