Advert template
editIn addition to a lot of vague and promotional items, the article seems to be including a lot of WP:SYNTH. For example, a routine announcement about the company financing a film (a year before that film is released) does not, and cannot, be used to support claims about how financially successful that film was. The article still includes a lot of this crap. I emphasize that this is an example because it's not the only case of this in the article, so removing it alone would not be sufficient to remove the template.
The article's summary of the company's collapse is also comically inadequate, which further gives the impression that someone who was involved with this company would like to use Wikipedia as a supplement to their resume. I don't know if that's the case, but it's the impression that the article currently gives, and that's a problem. Grayfell (talk) 20:18, 16 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Stonehedge315: Please discuss here before removing again. You keep fixing only some of the problems, but leaving others. I would also ask that if you have a conflict of interest, please review WP:COI. Grayfell (talk) 08:40, 17 November 2024 (UTC)
- I have removed promotional language and removed external links/passing mentions. I also moved the two articles that mention the Johnson lawsuit and dismissal to the next sentence because the article currently references the lawsuit and dismissal before it mentions they occurred. Anything else you would suggest? Stonehedge315 (talk) 02:28, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- I specifically mentioned one example above, and that one is still in the article, so the issues have not been resolved.
- It would be good if you clarified if you have a conflict of interest, per WP:COI.
- I also do not understand why you keep switching from 'cite news' to 'cite web' templates and keep removing the names for references. Grayfell (talk) 08:25, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- No conflicts but I am new here. I felt cite web was best because we are citing news from a website. But happy to change the references to cite news if you think that is better. I believe I have fixed your final issue. Stonehedge315 (talk) 01:35, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
