Thank you for all your help and hard work in helping bring Caspar David Friedrich to FA. Working with you has been a real pleasure, and I really appreciated all the articles you made for the individual works. Please enjoy this cheery landscape as a token of my thanks. Translating featured articles on visual art from the German Wikipedia. Here's a list of those with no current English equivalent. indicates stub-level "translation", indicates complete translation of the article's contents.
A Poison Tree - too many of the articles on the Songs of Innocence and Experience poems are junky little middle school essays rather than proper articles... The Tyger is just sad...
Rembrandt paintings: Descent from the Cross and Suzanna and the Elders. Also Abraham and Isaac - important part of that painting is Rembrandt shows the knife in midair, after he's dropped it.
German Expressionism - woeful page... currently contains no information on either Die Brücke or Der Blaue Reiter... Expressionism could use a rework too...
Crypto-fascism - some to translate on the history of the term...
Perhaps make commons categories for some of Blake's mythological figures - at least the more easily recognized ones, like Satan, Urizen, Los, God the father, Christ, etc. Would be helpful for people just broaching his mythology... Tho often it's unclear... This for example is an obvious Urizenic figure (Nobodaddy) but probably not Urizen per se...
Eggshell pottery - see Longshan culture. In looking through articles on ceramics in general there seems to be inordinate focus on porcelain as opposed to more functional, popular wares... probably an artifact of export and collecting. But many wares given as exclusively porcelain were stoneware as well... etc. Also, Japanese ceramics and Korean ceramics should be the article titles, not "pottery and porcelain". I really don't care about the semantic issues in their languages - these are the proper terms in Western art historiography and it is not our role to go around inventing titles... especially as "porcelain" is a type of "pottery" - so "porcelain and pottery" is absurd...
Pottery firing should not redirect where it does. The section on firing in Pottery could also use improvement...
