Hello, I'm Magnolia677. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Chariton, Iowa, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 18:30, 9 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for the message on my talk page. Please don't be discouraged by the angry tone of Wikipedia. What often frustrates new editors is that there are very particular ways of doing things on Wikipedia, and more experienced editors will quickly revert you if you don't follow the rules. All the policies and guidelines are intended to maintain a professional, encyclopedic style and tone, but for new editors who are just eager to add information it gets frustrating. Please don't be discouraged. If you like to write and have information to add which will improve Wikipedia for its readers (this is very important), then this is a wonderful hobby. I have added a detailed welcome template above. You don't have to read every link, but the most important ones are WP:V and WP:OR, which both say you can't add information to Wikipedia that cannot be supported by a reliable source. This is frustrating for people who have lots of personal knowledge, but these two policies assure Wikipedia remains a trusted source of information for its readers. Also, when editing cities in the United States, editors follow WP:USCITIES. I urge you to stick around, and if you need help, there are links above to various help forums, or feel free to ping me to this talk page by adding {{ping|Magnolia677}} at the start of your message. Cheers. Magnolia677 (talk) 09:54, 15 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message

edit

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:44, 29 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

Accounts cannot be deleted. You can do, as the other editor suggested, just stop editing and retire. You can also follow the instructions in WP:VANISH if you wish. Finally, please do not include personal identifying information on Wikipedia. I've removed what you posted to the other editor's Talk page. Your draft article, User:Jeffshusband/sandbox

edit

Hello, Jeffshusband. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or draft page you started, "sandbox".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 15:22, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

please, no more emails or notices. I have come to the conclusion that this whole Wikipedia group is not healthy for me. Like we used to say when I was an RN, "Nurses eat their young." . Same thing here. I have not been able to figure this convoluted system out - no one has helped me, except to be nasty to me like I am an idiot. I am done with it. Please delete me from the system. I understand that my comments and contributions are the property of Wikipedia which is fine. Someone might want to make sure my contributions were OK. A few of them apparently slipped through and I did not get a nasty-gram when I submitted them. I am sure there would be something wrong with them if you looked. at them again. Best of luck with the whole mess. I am finished and will be happy to never hear from anyone there again. Jeffshusband (talk) 16:03, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
