- Hi KiltedKangaroo. To the best of my understanding, the mentoring set up is an informal process in that new accounts are assigned a mentor at random, but they're not limited to only asking their mentor questions. So, feel free to ask for help at either the WP:THQ or WP:HD if you have general questions or at any of the noticeboards listed at WP:PNB if you've got more specific questions about certain things. You can also post questions here if you want. I'll try to answer them if I can or direct you to a better place to ask them if I can't. Regardless of what you ask and where you ask it, please remember that everyone (including you yourself) is a WP:VOLUNTEER who sometimes may get WP:BUSY; this means the answers you get may vary from person to person, and the time it takes for you to receive a response may also vary. You should also try to avoid peppering multiple pages with the same question (i.e. a taking shotgun approach) for the same reasons, particularly if you're just shopping around for an answer that you might like. -- Marchjuly (talk) 08:29, 2 December 2024 (UTC)
