ArbCom 2022 Elections voter message

edit

Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2022 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 01:11, 29 November 2022 (UTC)Reply

New information added

edit

You made a number of edits to Christian Zionism with the edit-comment "New information added".

This comment is unhelpful, because (a) you added references in each case, not new information; and (b) edit-comments of that form are frequently used by spammers and vandals, which forces reviewers to inspect the actual nature of your changes.

I for one would be grateful if editors would refrain from uninformative edit-comments. I appreciate that you've bothered to use an edit comment at all; mny editors leave it blank. But edit-comments are like the comments on code-changes in a revision-control system; I would instantly revert changes in an RCS with no comment. That's not Wikipedia policy, which I regret.

Deletion discussion about Morgan Brody

edit

Hello, Suite1408, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username Significa liberdade, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Morgan Brody, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Morgan Brody.

You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Significa liberdade}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Default spacing

edit

This comment is intended to save you some time. You may not realize it, but Wikipedia's default spacing around section headings is a blank space on each side of the heading inside the equal signs and blank lines above and below the heading. While changing this makes no visible difference to the reader, those defaults make editing easier for those with poor eyesight, so I'd really appreciate it if you keep those defaults. -- Valjean (talk) (PING me) 19:11, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

  • Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time, but it requires a strong understanding of Wikipedia’s CSD policy and notability guidelines.
  • Kindly read the tutorial before making your decision, and feel free to post on the project talk page with questions.
  • If patrolling new pages is something you'd be willing to help out with, please consider applying here.

Thank you for your consideration. We hope to see you around!
