Etymology

From a Semitic source equalling Hebrew קְצִיעָה (qəṣīʿā), Aramaic קְצִיעֲתָא (qəṣīʿătā), from קְצַע (qṣaʿ, “to cut off”), referencing the manner the tree produce is reaped.
