editPerhaps Ingvild Broch (1996) made a mistake in reading and the original source was Йезъ! (Jjez!), not Уезъ! (Ujez!), as happened with ту (tu, “two”) which Broch mistook for мы (my, “we”). Alternatively, there may have been an orthographic mix-up with the first two letters of English yes.
