Etymology
editBorrowed from Dravidian, due to the wide phonetic variation of its secondary forms in vernacular dialects; compare Kui (India) ଗୁଟା (guṭa, “stump of tree”), Kurukh [script needed] (mal-guṭā, “instep, back of the hand”).
