Laetesia pulcherrima is a species of sheet weaver spider endemic to New Zealand.[1]

Taxonomy

This species was described in 2003 by A.D. Blest and Cor Vink from male and female specimens.[2] The holotype is stored in Te Papa Museum under registration number AS.000191.[3]

Description

The male is recorded at 2.75mm in length whereas the female is 3.2mm. This species has a orange brown prosoma and legs. The abdomen is black with white stripes laterally.[2]

Distribution

This species is only known from Nelson, New Zealand.[2]

Conservation status

Under the New Zealand Threat Classification System, this species is listed as "Not Threatened".[4]
