Season chronology | |
Season 8 of the FOX animated television series Family Guy is scheduled to air on September 27, 2009.[1] Season 8 is set to contain the episode "Something, Something, Something, Dark Side," the sequel to Season 6 premiere episode "Blue Harvest" and a retelling of Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back."[2] Another episode titled "Partial Terms of Endearment" will not air on FOX according to a press release Fox has issued to most major entertainment news networks, but it is expected to be a DVD exclusive and may air on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. [3]
Plot summaries for Season 8 include Cleveland leaving Quahog, Peter, Joe and Quagmire searching for the source of all dirty jokes, Meg going to prison for murder, Chris finally unveils the evil monkey to the family and an episode with Lois learning how to box and bonding with her mother. Brian becomes a republican and Rush Limbaugh and Karl Rove guest star in the show.[4]
