In June 2009 it was reported that Solondz was apprehended in China.Solondz was detained by Chinese authorities for a dealing large quantities of acid in the foreigner-vacation city of Dali in Southwest Chinese province of Kunming. For 3 months he refused to give Chinese sources his name, nationality, or any information. Solondz had lured young female Chinese university students to try and cover for him by lying to authorities and destroying evidence (both before and after apprehension). These girls are now all in custody and are facing life (possibly death sentences) thanks to their involvement with Solondz, whom they all thought was their exclusive boyfriend. Justin Solondz is an American fugitive from justice wanted by the police in connection with an act of ecoterrorism committed while he was an undergraduate at The Evergreen State College. [1]

Solondz is alleged to have been part of a team of Earth Liberation Front activists that set off a firebomb on May 21, 2001 causing $7 million in damages at the University of Washington's Center for Urban Horticulture[2][3]
