The 'Haasrode business & research park' in Heverlee (Leuven) is definitively one of the most interesting locations just outside the Brussels periphery. Divided in a research & science park and a trade park it houses a important variety of industries. Companies are attracted to the nearby presence of the international renowned Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL), the international research centre Interuniversity Microelectronics Centre and one of the largest hospitals in the country [Gasthuisberg], although most just think Leuven is a fun city with the best beer in the world and great location for their company.

Accessibility

The Haasrode Research-Park can benefit from an exceptional accessibility: located alongside the E40 highway (Brussels-Liège, exit 23) it offers an ideal location to companies: close to Brussels but without the tremendous traffic problems around Zaventem and the other principal roads and highways leading towards the Belgian capital. Even from Walloon Brabant there is a fast express road leading almost directly to Haasrode. By regular bus connections, the Leuven train station can be reached within 10-15 minutes.
