As a first step, the Instituto México de B.C. civil association was constituted on June the 13th 1963. The school's inauguration was held on September the 6th 1965 and it's alumni was numbered at 204 students from 3rd to 6th grade. For the next seven years the school continued to expand until it included the 12th grades. |

The school has been known for it's exclusivity in comparison with the rest of the schools in the city. When it comes to educational level, it ranks amongst the highest in the state. In 2008 the mexican federal government applied a test to students of all schools in the country to help measure each one's alumni's (all in all 13 million students) level of knowledge and abilities, and according to the results Insituto México ranked 30th in the country and 1st in the state (Baja California). |
