Muhammad Shahi (Balochi: بلوچ) is a Brahvi speaking Baloch tribe in Balochistan. Key Figures in the tribe include Sardar Azeem jan Muhammad Shahi, Mir Kabeer Ahmed Muhammad Shahi , Mir Abdullah Jan Muhammad Shahi, Sardar Muhammad Zaman Muhammad Shahi. They are known to be descendants of the Rind tribe who settled in the Sarawan region of Balochistan. They then adopted the Brahui language but they are still a Baloch tribe. Mir Abdullah Jan Muhammad Shahi who is seen as a leader of the Nationalist Balochistan movement in the 1980s and early 90s was the most influential person in the tribe before his death in 1994. Mir Kabeer Ahmed Muhammad Shahi, who is the son of Mir Abdullah Jan Muhammad Shahi, is now the most influential person in the tribe alongside Sardar Azeem jan Muhammad Shahi.
