Scott Shields' first band was [[Gun (band)|Gun]], in which he was the drummer. Following the departure of [[Baby Stafford]] from [[Gun (band)|Gun]], Scott joined up with his former bandmate as drummer and producer for Stafford's new band, 'Raindog'. Due to the existence of another band of the same name, the decision was made to adopt the monicker '[[Baby Stafford]]' instead. The band went on to release an EP entitled ''[[Paper Love Maker]]'' in 1994, with Shields as producer. In the mid-nineties Shields formed 'Bond', in which he joined forces with [[Martin Slattery]]. In early 1999 he joined [[Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros]], originally on bass and later as a guitarist. Scott Shields (b. November 26, 1969 in Glasgow) is a Scottish musician and producer, best known as a member of Joe Strummer's backing band The Mescaleros.
