Scott Shields (b. November 26 1969 in Glasgow) is a Scottish musician, best known as a member of Joe Strummer's backing band The Mescaleros.

Scott Shields first band was G.U.N in which he was the drummer. In the late nineties he joined Bond where he joined forces with Martin Slattery. In early 1999 Scott joined Joe Strummer & The Mescaleros originally on bass and later moved to lead guitar. Scott was with The Mescaleros until Joe Strummer's untimely death in December 2002. He co-wrote numerous songs on Global a Go-Go and Streetcore. Scott also co-produced both albums with Martin Slattery.

Scott has produced and written tracks for numerous film soundtracks like Mike Bassett, England Manager, Bend It Like Beckham and Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
