Start date

Does anyone know when the HouseGuest actually enter the house, and how long it will be on for? MSalmon (talk) 19:19, 30 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Traditionally the houseguests enter the house a few days before the show's actual premiere. Since the show will be premiering on July 8, they will probably be entering on July 5. 74.163.13.206 (talk) 22:18, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

First HOH competition

Did anyone catch the name of the compitition on the premeire?--Cooly123 17:00, 9 July 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cooly123 (talkcontribs)

I forgot the name, but the theme was "hot dogs" and the houseguests had to go, one by one, across the other side. The houseguests were split into two teams. The first team to have all their team mates across wins the HOH. Also the first person who went across (holding the hot dog, as mustard and ketchup was consentingly(?) being squirted out) won $10,000 while the second gets I believe $1,000 and so forth lolz. The winner or $10,000 was Monet, $1,000 was Lane, $100 was Kristen, $10 would have been Britney but due to her getting injured and Kristen getting sent across again nobody won $10, $1 was Matt, and HoH was Hayden.eagle2ch (talk) 11:41, 18 August, 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.56.34.106 (talk)

But if this person declines, doesn't make headlines, or any other notable situations in and outside of the house then no there shouldn't be a new mark. Veto Use

I know anyone can check the chart to see if the veto is used...but is there anyway to show it in the top table? For example, since Britney didn't use the veto...maybe it can be marked black and show a new icon. I don't know. Head Of Household in Voting History table

Hey. This is probably going to fall on deaf ears, but instead of having 'Head Of Household' in the table, can it not simply be 'HOH'? When Head Of Household is written in the table, it takes up two lines whereas HOH would take up one and make it look neater throughout the table... if you get my drift? Plus the term HOH is the more commonly used than Head Of Household. Yay or nay? Ciao! db1987db (talk) 22:33, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nay, leave it as it is because of history.--Mikeymike2001 (talk) 22:57, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ah. I experimented with this several years ago. Unfortunately, when someone gets evicted, it'll bloat their box anyways. If you remove the break between "Evicted" and "(Day XX)", the last person to get evicted has a bloated box, while nobody else does. T (Formerly Known as FireSpike) 07:52, 11 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Just a note this would have to be decided among the whole project due to other versions like Brazil who also use Head of Household. I think the table is fine just the way it is and by having "Head of Household" instead of "HoH" is better for newcomers who haven't either watched Big Brother or the American version of Big Brother. ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 10:09, 11 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have a question about this power that is not clear....SO since Brendon (unfortunately) won HOH, he will nominate 2 people. Matt can override the veto regardless of what Brendon wants, so lets say Matt takes someone of (maybe even himself if necessary) then the rules say he gets to pick anyone as a replacement...My question is, can he choose to put Brendon on the Block then? I hope so or this power Matt has is worthless. 66.188.54.37 (talk) 01:56, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I doubt that Brendon can be nominated as a result of his win (unfortunately) or whoever wins the Golden PoV. (Similar to the Coup d'tat rules). Also, if Matt uses the Diamond Power of Veto, the table will be reflected to note this. T (Formerly Known as FireSpike) 02:24, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rachel's Pandora's Entrance

As much as we all hate this twist occured. Should the top table reflect this twist? This typea twist could and IS having dramatic effects in the game. I think putting Enter: Day 43 Exit: Day 44 for Rachel and Exit: Day 43 and Enter: Day 44 on the table is a plausible option. And just noting it in the bottom voting table does not suffice for the overall effect it is having on the game. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.44.176.75 (talk) 02:18, 15 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Big Brother 2003 (UK) is notable because one housemate was voted to go back into the House but just as a guest and was ineligible to win. To remove this precedent a discussion to effect all Big Brother articles needs to be held. ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 02:26, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I do agree with that the Voting History note shouldn't really be put (but at the same time I still don't get with the Have Nots being listed aswell, especially since Have Nots are still fully eligible to compete in PoV, being nominated, vote to evict, be HoH, etc) But I am not sure if we should put Rachel's Day 44/Day 45 whatever in the infobox, same goes with Rima from Australian Big Brother and Jon from Big BRother UK. --BigOz22 (talk) 03:01, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
My thinking is with the Have-Nots row is to indicate who lived with the "poor" conditions in the House. Instead of using a color to indicate who was a have not it was easier to use a row. The indication of the Have Nots is similar to other articles that indicate which Housemate lived in the poor side of a BB House but were still able to fully participate in the nomination and eviction process without penalty. ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 15:19, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Diamond Power of Veto in Table

Since he is up, it is extremely likely Matt will use the Diamond Power of Veto on Thursday to save himself. Thinking this should be reflected in the voting table like the Coup d'Etat was last year, I've worked out the table to incorporate it and posted it at my user page. I based it on the assumption that Matt will veto himself, leaving Lane up, and that Brendon and Regan, as HOH and POV holder, are not eligible to be nominated. Revision and critique are welcome.

Change "Diamond Power of Veto" to "Diamond Veto", and it'll be good. T (talk) 00:41, 17 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I made another test table for when Matt uses the Diamond Veto. In the Veto Winner column I just shortened "Diamond Veto" to "Diamond" because having "Veto" would be redundant. Also I added Matt's nomination in "( )" then his eviction vote under it to clarify that the DPoV replacement was his nomination and not that of the HoH. I also added a color but we might not need the separate color. ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 20:16, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe the color should be in the veto winner box, instead of the voting box. And I'm not sure that Matt's nomination should go in the voting box; I'm thinking that a note should be fine. Also, from what I've seen, no one knows at all who Matt will nominate, so predicting a Kathy eviction may be premature.
