Bengali Wikipedia-an introspection about the relationship between Bangladesh and West Bengal, India

Since the birth of Bangladesh in 1971 the Bengali people of both sides of the border (Bangladesh and West Bengal) professed a heart to heart cooperation and a hand to hand sharing in the sole common point of view of language. Despite many chemic difference in Culture, religions and habits etc, the Bangladeshi people and the people of West Bengal(India) had undergone a soul searching identification in the matter of ethical semblance of the two races arising out of source, and the common platform being the Bengali language. There are no doubt some differences in pronunciation, utterness and grammatical methodology of their Bengali and ours but the content and spirit bear the same echo.

Started in 2005, Bengali Wikipedia (and its sister projects) witnessed collaborative efforts from both Bangladesh and India. And this collaboration was not forced, but a spontaneous one from both sides of the line of central. Items of special interest of the specific side as well as items of common interest of the two Bengals have been incorporated and contributed to different section of Bn-Wiki. According to recorded estimation about number of Bengali articles has been created so far 42506 articles which is somewhat inspiring and the commitment of the contributing Wikipedian from Bangladesh and West Bengal is undoubtedly accredited. Still some more refined introspection is essential in this respect with a view to materializing the rest terms development of Bn-Wiki chapter. A refined self-analytical introspection on our part will make it a point to be noted that a large portion of the articles developed are lacking in quality in terms of good article measuring parameter-unfinished article or stub article and not grown up article have been registered in great number. Since, new articles generation and development of stub articles with an object to developing greater number of good articles has recently been trended by global Wikimedia movements as the most important parameter of judging per excellence of Wikipedia contributor all over the Globe; hence our prime focus has to be the higher frequency of generation and maintenance of quality articles. Moreover, since two Bengals one intersected by an international border regular mixing and frequent meet-ups and seminars between the Wiki contributors of both the lands is not an easy cap of tea. From this point of view, an unwanted communication gap and collaborative more ever sustains between us which directly and indirectly affects our contributional performance; as well as our ever good wishes from both hands to heighten the position of Bn-Wiki in global perspective. Hence, for the purpose of developing and promoting far better coordination between the two wings of Bn-Wiki, more poignant and more effective resort to different social net-working sites, collaborated online editathons etc should be a requisite step towards the proper coordination. There should regular contact between the contributors from Bangladesh and West Bengal and mutual motivational sharing in the social networking pages of Bn-Wiki as well as its own pages. Collaborative editathons should have to be organized on frequent basis(twice or thrice in a year)through which contribution of both sides can edit and develop a good number of articles.
