== Background ==
Ruiz first started music with his comedy music character "[[Draft:Tuv (YouTuber)#Discography|Elfy]]", these songs were never released and only uploaded to YouTube. Ruiz's first real song "Pop Off", which did not appear on Ear Candy, was released on August 20, 2020 via his independent label [[Draft:Tuv (YouTuber)|Fat Cat Studios]], Ruiz took down "Pop Off" from streaming services after people bullied him over the song. Ruiz's second real song "Cherry Soda", which did appear on Ear Candy, was released on February 24, 2022 again via Fat Cat Studios. ''Ear Candy'' contains songs about feeling lonely, recovering from a [[breakup]], and Ruiz's former [[drug abuse]] as seen in "Overdose".

The album did not receive good ratings, [[Rate Your Music]] gave it a 1.88 out of 5 in total and Album Of The Year gave it a 32 out of 100. Ruiz himself has admitted that it is not very good, he also says the songs that have come out since the album have been much better.
