I'm James Bennett, a web developer originally from just outside Charleston, West Virginia. I attended Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia, majored in philosophy, and got into web development as a hobby. After college, I spent a whle freelancing, and then moved to Lawrence, Kansas where I now work for the online division of the Lawrence Journal-World.
Disclosure: articles I watch but do not edit
There's a list of articles on Wikipedia which I keep an eye on, but no longer edit actively due to possible conflicts of interest. If you'd like some assistance with any of them (taken with a grain of salt), leave a note on my talk page and I'll be happy to help out:
- Lawrence Journal-World, 6 News Lawrence, KTKA-TV, Tom Keegan -- companies owned by, or people employed by, my employer.
- Django (web framework) -- I work for the company which originally developed Django, and I'm the release manager for the project.
- Scoop (software) -- I have had business dealings with the developers of Scoop.
- TextDrive and Joyent -- I am a paying customer of both, have worked with them in the past and have friends there.
