Welcome!

Hello, Dale Fletcher, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question. Again, welcome!

For the love of God man, before you start throwing in more links, learn how to use wikilinks. You are messing up the formatting of articles. Check out the welcome page and take some tutorials to spare the time and efforts of future contributors. Wikilinks contain only the double square brackets and not url. [[Physical exercise]], not [http://www.wikipedia.org/en/Physical exercise]. Also, I've reverted your addition to the physical exercise page, there is a comment on the talk page. Hi Dale, Frank here. I saw your comment on the Health Coaching page, and saw that the reason why your link did not work is because of the case sensitive nature of links. I have corrected it and now the link on your user page to Health Coaching works fine. Frank Walsh (1962) (talk) 13:14, 11 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

5 Pillars

Please read up on the five pillars of wikipedia as well as what wikipedia is not and no original research before creating further pages. Compliance with these policies will reduce the likelyhood of your contributions being reverted or pages deleted for violating one of these policies. WLU 19:52, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WP:ADOPT

If you're interested in increasing your learning curve, you may want to look into WP:ADOPT, in which you will have a semi-formal sponsor to ask questions of and receive feedback. WLU 22:06, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Biography steps to developing a biography

  1. Create an outline for the biography article you started:
  2. Consider adding an appropriate infobox.
    • For lists of infoboxes, visit the appropriate work groups (which have them listed) or consult our infobox quick guide
  3. Add the Persondata template.
  4. Populate your article with images such as obtained from Wikimedia Commons, image list, or by posting a request for an image from other Wikipedians.
  5. Add the appropriate categories.
    • Since categories at the bottom of the articles interwiki linked in your article may be appropriate to place in your article, go through each interwiki link in your article and review the categories at the bottom of the linked article for inclusion in your article.
    • For lists of categories, visit the appropriate work groups (which have them listed) or start browsing at Category:People.
  6. Confirm that the interwiki links, footnotes, and external (non-wiki) links in your article go where you want them to go.
  7. Post an article request at Wikipedia:Requested articles for each broken (red) interwiki link in your article OR remove the double brackets around the broken interwiki link OR write that article as well (these are your only three choices).
  8. Publicize your article by ...
  9. Request peer review of your article by following these instructions ONLY after you believe that you completed all the above steps.

A tag has been placed on Dale Fletcher, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Hi Dale. Wikipedia articles usually are developed from reliable source material that is independent of the topic. Do you know of any newspaper articles or other print material about yourself that are independent of you (e.g., ones that you didn't write or an origination that you belong to didn't generate)? Are there any books having biographical material about you? That material can be used in the Dale Fletcher article. -- Jreferee (Talk) 20:23, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Dale. If you can provide me links to reliable source material that is independent of you, I would be able to use that to create the Wikipedia article. If there is not enough reliable source material that is independent of you, it doesn't matter whether you or I create the article as it would eventually get deleted. -- Jreferee (Talk) 21:01, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Adoption

Hi, I've offered to adopt you as part of Wikipedia's Adoption Program. If you choose to accept, please say so on my Talk Page. Luksuh 07:33, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Adoption template

Hi. I notice that you've been offered adoption, so I've removed the adoption request template to reflect this. Happy editing! --Sopoforic 21:55, 25 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Christianity WikiProject Newsletter
Issue X - July 2009
Project news
  • The Christianity project and its related projects currently have 76 FAs, 8 FLs, and 148 GAs. We gained new recognized content in each field, with 4 FAs promoted, 2 FLs, and 3 GAs. Congratulations and a big thank you to all those who worked on these articles!
Member news
Other news
  • I am still working on the categorization matter. With any luck, we should have some results by the end of the month. There are also some discussions regarding project related activities at Wikipedia:WikiProject Christianity/General Forum. One issue in particular that might be addressed is possible elections of new coordinators. Anyone interested in serving in such a capacity is more than welcome to indicate as much.
Related projects news
Member contest of the month
  • The previous contests are still ongoing, because of the extreme amount of time the categorization is taking me. Anyone who can bring any of the few Stub class articles among the project's 1000 most often accessed articles by the end of July will get an award. Please see the details Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Christianity#Project challenge of the month.
Christianity related news
From the Members

Welcome to the Tenth issue of the WikiProject Christianity newsletter! Use this newsletter as a mechanism to inform yourselves about progress at the project and please be inspired to take more active roles in what we do.

It has been a long time since the last coordinators election. There is a lot for people to do, and I certainly would welcome seeing any individuals with an interest in such a position put themselves forward as candidates. I in particular would very much like to see some degree of "specialization" in the coordinators, so that, for instance, we might have someone knowledgable about some of the specific Christian faith traditions or other main subjects, like Orthodoxy, Lutheranism, Mormonism, the Jehovah's Witnesses, art, theology, and so on. If any parties who have experience with some of our faith- or- subject-based content would be interested in being candidates, I would love to see them do so. Please feel free to take part in the discussion regading what the minimum number of category items is, and how to deal with the non-qualifying categories, on the General Forum page.
