Welcome

Nice to have you aboard. It can take a while to learn the ropes. For example, it's nice to see new editors at AFD (Articles for Deletion) and I thank you for your comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/January 2016 Paris police station attack (2nd nomination). Just fyi, it is usual to preface such comments with an iVote, usually Keep or Delete, sometimes Merge to (meaning add the material to a differnet article,) or Redirect to (meaning make searches on this title lead to a different article.) This is done by placing three of these: ' (apostrophes) on each side of the word: Keep. Happy editing, and welcome to the project.E.M.Gregory (talk) 16:08, 21 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for welcoming me. :) I already voted in the AfD discussion with Strong Keep. I just wanted to support your statements with my 2nd comment. --Gerry1214 (talk) 16:23, 21 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited New Year's Eve sexual assaults in Germany, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bundeskriminalamt (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:33, 19 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion discussion about Detlef Seif

Hello, Gerry1214,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Detlef Seif should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Detlef Seif .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

Thanks, Ⓩⓟⓟⓘⓧ (talk) 14:26, 12 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for entertaining me. Have a nice day.--Gerry1214 (talk) 14:31, 12 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Reactions section on 2016 Munich shooting

Hi there, you've deleted the entire reaction section and said it needs rewritten. Are you currently rewriting it? Thanks Davidcarroll (talk) 19:48, 23 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi David, I am not (re)writing things in an environment of passionate deletionists. For further discussion please see article talk page.--Gerry1214 (talk) 21:16, 23 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
