@Plastikspork - Thank you for fixing my mistake, and for letting me know about it. I have a bunch of rules in my script to change stub categories to stub templates. While most stub categories use the demonym and the country name for the stub template, I now know that "Greek" is an exception, so I've removed the rule from my script. Copyright question

I have uploaded scores of photos free from copyright, but I still get puzzled about how to mark them, and even if I should use them at all. Here's my latest question: Photo is from Newspapers.com, originally published on June 8, 1946, in the St. Louis Globe-Democrat. There is no copyright notice referring to the photo or, indeed, in the entire newspaper. Can I use it, and what tag should I use? Can you help me 'cause I am confused, maybe because I have BeenAroundAWhile (talk) 23:06, 28 May 2022 (UTC)

@BeenAroundAWhile - I see you uploaded File:Newspaper photo of Laura Rand Orthwein as Veiled Prophet Queen 1959.jpeg which you may have gotten from this Newspapers.com image. At the bottom right of the Newspapers.com page, it states "Copyright © 2022 Newspapers.com" in tiny print. I didn't read the whole newspaper to see if there is a copyright notice. I'm far from an expert on copyright laws. I believe I've only uploaded photos I've taken or images that fall within fair use such as covers of books/CDs/movies. You may want to ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions and provide a link to the specific image you're asking about. Hope this helps, and happy editing! • GB, I have declined the article again as it was basically re-submitted without much if any, development, and left advice that if resubmitted, it *could* be rejected; it may even be deleted via MfD. There are also 2 similarly-named accounts editing the item (Zabikn7 and Zabikn). Any reason for this isn't clear but of course multiple accounts are permissible subject to WP:ALTACCN... though it can cause confusion and difficulties in communication. I don't see that you've demonstrated that Kohkan meets the criteria at WP:SPORTBASIC. @Wikibikkie12 - Because one of Wikipedia's core content policies is Wikipedia:Verifiability, meaning other people using the encyclopedia can check that the information comes from a published reliable source. Since you know Ryan Dixon personally, you have a conflict of interest and should not be editing the article about him directly. Instead, you may post your suggestions on the article's talk page - Talk:Ryan Dixon - along with any published reliable sources you have and the {{request edit}} template to get the attention of other editors.
